Finally a car tether my dog can't destroy! I have a small dog who rides in a booster seat. I bought two sizes of this tether (28" and 33") to experiment with placement and quickly learned the longer tether can easily get wrapped around her so I'm using the shorter one. One end has a normal sized hook that attaches to her collar or harness. The other end has two options: a flat clasp that fits into the seat belt base or a larger hook that fits around the headrest post (though a different style hook would work better here), giving two options for anchoring the tether. Because of that extra hook, the tether is surprisingly heavy but most of the weight is at the anchor point, not hanging from the dog. I've done several road trips with this and my dog hasn't been able to chew through it. I highly recommend it.
You get two car harnesses they cannot chew through different sizes so you can pick what size you want. Very sturdy. Very lightweight seems to be good quality and good clips.

This is the ONLY device I've found that keeps my teenage coonhound safe in the backseat. Every other one we've tried has loosened or he's been able to chew through them. I was able to click it into the child safety seat thingy in the back seat of my Mustang. He can sit and lay down comfortably and is no longer able to join me in the drivers seat.
These are the BEST! They hook into the child seat latch instead of the seatbelt latch. My dog know how to click the button to unbuckle from the seatbelt latch. They are coated wire so no ripping of Travis like we have had happen with other types. The clasp swivels so it doesn't tangle up and create friction or fraying. 100% recommend!
I love this for my dog. She can be a bit overwhelmed riding in the car but this seems to calm her down for whatever reason. The part that buckles to the seat belt doesn't really fit well in my car or my truck but I feel the clip is more secure anyway so that's what I use. I liked it so much that I ordered a second for my truck. I definitely recommend this for anyone.
I've been through several different types of doggie seat belts, and haven't found one I liked until now. My god tends to eat everything (I swear I feed him properly) and he's eaten several seat belts. This one is metal, so it's much harder for him to chew through, in fact he hasn't even gotten close yet so that's just awesome. When I first got it, I was afraid it was going to be too small. However, i used it, and nope - it's the perfect length.
After using several cloth seat belts, only to have my dog chew it in half, I'm glad I found these! My dog hasn't event attempted to chew these and if he did, they are much too strong for him to get through. I like how there's plastic wrapped over the metal wiring so it does not hurt your dog's skin.It fits into my cars seat belt perfectly and keeps my dog from jumping to the front seat or out of the car when I open the door. My only concern is the safety aspect if there was a car accident. Due to it being wire, a suddenly jolt or accident could cause injury if your dog flung forward. There's no give like a human seat belt to prevent whiplash. Just make sure you get one of these long enough so that your dog can comfortably stand or sit up and have the seat belt show enough slack.
My dog loves to jump in the front seat when I have to get out of my car to run an errand and he remains behind. When my grandchildren (2 of them) are in the backseat with my dog he stands on their lap so he can get closer to the window. I received the harness because I felt it would keep him in the back seat. It works great!! I can get out of my car to go into the store and he remains in the back seat. When I have my 2 grandchildren with me I tether the harness to the center of the backseat and he remains there. I highly recommend this item and it keeps my dog from moving around in the back seat as I am traveling.
