Birds aren't built to sit still — in the wild they spend hours stripping, shredding, and tearing. A cage with nothing to destroy leaves all that energy with nowhere to go.

This is Cognitive enrichment: a shreddable kabob your parrot can pull apart strand by strand, satisfying the deep urge to forage and shred. Giving a bird something to dismantle supports calmer, more occupied behavior. EnrichCove curates bird enrichment to a science-backed standard, so your parrot can thrive doing what its instincts demand.

  • Shreddable natural material made to be torn apart
  • Encourages foraging and beak-led problem solving
  • Hangs in the cage and moves as your bird works it
  • Sized for small to medium parrots and parakeets
  • A renewable favorite — replace once fully shredded

A toy your bird unravels freely, on its own terms.

Will my bird actually shred it?

Most do — hang it where your bird perches and let curiosity take over; a loose strand or two gets the shredding started. Swap it out once it's worked down, and remove any piece small enough to be swallowed. Supervise new toys at first and check with your avian vet about your bird's chewing habits.

Let them shred to their heart's content. Free US shipping over $49 · 30-day returns.

Bird Kabob FAQ

Which birds? Small to medium parrots, conures, and parakeets that love to tear.

Is it meant to fall apart? Yes — shredding is the point; refresh it when it's spent.

Bigger than I thought, but probably a good thing

These are pretty big, maybe for a big parrot. I bought these for my sun conure and they are enormous but he's such a little destroyer that the size doesn't even faze him and it's a bonus because they are lasting longer than the smaller ones. Will buy again

Soft texture

My 20 yr old African Grey parrot does not chew hard woods. This chew toy is soft and keeps her busy!

Our Eclectus really enjoyed it and tore into it with vigor

Our Eclectus really enjoyed it and tore into it with vigor. Unfortunately, he went into sneezing fits the two separate times we tried it and decided he's either allergic to it or is inhaling some sort of dust from it that triggers the sneezing.

Good as a foraging toy

One of my favorite uses of this toy is to embed sunflower seeds in the toy, making the birds work to get a treat. And the birds really enjoy foraging.

Great for African Greys!

My African Grey loves these! I buy them in the Grande size for him constantly. He will even stop eating when he sees me getting it ready to hang in his cage. It has worked as a great bribe to get him back in his cage too when he's being stubborn.

I only give it four stars because my Macaw destroyed it so fast - and that may not be fair becuase that was the purpose of the product, right? I just wish it would have lasted a bit longer.
