A cage full of fixed perches gives a bird nothing to balance, sway, or play on. Without movement to engage with, an active bird grows restless and under-stimulated.

This is Habitat enrichment: a sturdy swinging perch wrapped in soft cotton rope that moves as your bird climbs aboard. Balancing on a swing exercises the feet and coordination a wild bird uses on shifting branches, and the gentle motion invites natural play and perching variety. EnrichCove curates bird habitat to a science-backed standard, so your bird can thrive with a perch it actually wants to use.

  • Cotton-wrapped rope perch with a swinging motion
  • Soft, varied surface supports foot comfort and grip
  • Hangs from the cage top with an included hook
  • Large size for medium birds and parrots
  • Spot-clean and re-hang as part of cage variety

A perch your bird chooses freely — climbing on and swaying on its own terms.

Where should I hang the swing?

Mount it with clear space around it so your bird can sway without bumping the bars, ideally near a favorite perching spot to invite that first hop on. Give a hesitant bird a few days to warm up to the movement. Check the hook and rope regularly for wear, and replace if the cotton frays badly.

Give your bird a little movement in its day. Free US shipping over $49 · 30-day returns.

Bird Swing FAQ

Why add a swinging perch? A swing gives birds varied, moving footing — an EnrichCove swinging perch works the feet and coordination a fixed perch can't, which adds natural play to the cage.

What size bird is it for? The large size suits medium birds and parrots; size to your bird's grip.

How does it attach? It hangs from the cage top with the included hook.

Functional Bird Toys

My Sun Conure looks like a star on this swinging perch. He hasn't shredded it, so that's a good sign. He enjoys perching and swinging. My Lorikeet has a new toy (Swivel Activity Center Perch). My review hasn't posted on that product yet, however I have posted a photo for both.

Great swing for budgies

When I first opened the swing, I was so afraid it was too big. But it fit great in my cage and I can almost always find at least one budgie on the swing. All four get on here sometimes, too, with two on the top of the perch (not sure why they like to be up there!) and at least one sleeps on it every night. Definitely my bird's favorite place to be! It is very sturdy and has a great hook that my birds can't open (and they are good at taking things apart!)

Well made, large enough for my lessur cockatoo

Bird likes it, replaced a old worn out rope hoop.. Chico sleeps in this every night so it must be comfortable. It's slightly thinner than the previous one but not so much that it affects the use or quality. Happy bird happy life lol

Fantastic Swing perch

My bird shouted WOOOOO when she saw it and could not wait to jump on it since the beginning. She tried to destroy it but she could not in any clase. Every day on it, beside she has a LOT of other stuffs around. GREAT ADDITION for our African Gray

My Macaw loves this swing

If you are worried about size for big macaw, so was I. It took a day for him to stop being suspicious of it and climb on. The next day he was hanging by one foot from below it swinging away. He loves it and so far it's holding up well and my big bird is a chewer for sure. When this one has finally had it I plan to repurchase

Parakeets LOVE it

Firstly I am so impressed by how sturdy this was made it has a thick plastic wrap at the top and metal hoop/hook so that the birds cant chew through it! Its big enough for two/three parakeets to chill out on. My birds have thus far hated all swinging perches until this one because it is so thick and sturdy that they feel safe when its swinging. The climb on the sides and even sleep on the top part of the hoop at night. Normally it takes my fussy birds a few days to even touch a new toy or perch but they had instant love for this. This is likely because they are used to the rope perches. Great buy and im sure this perch will last a long time since its so well made!

Happy Swing!

I bought this swing for my young very animated canary, Makana. He really liked his smaller wooden swing, although when he lands on it, it swings wildly. He only stays on it a few seconds before he jumps off of it. I wanted him to have an alternative swing of different texture and form. So I got the small Booda swing.Makana loves his Booda swing! He was fascinated with it as soon as I hung it in his cage. He pecked at it and went around and around looking at it from different sides. Finally he jumped on it and it has been his favorite perch ever since. He sleeps and plays on it and pecks and pulls at the strings. When he lands on it, it only sways a little for a gentle rocking sensation and he seems to like that.I am setting up a much larger flight cage for him, so I will likely get another one or two of these Booda swings for that cage.
