I had the standard pet microfiber towels and thought they were good... until I gave this towel a try and we have level upped.With microfiber towels and hair dryer, my dog's post-bath drying time took about 15 minutes. She's a rescue dog that came with health issues so I have to make sure she's bone dry after baths.This is a size small towel for my 8.5 lb chihuahua and I now spend 5-10 minutes max drying her. They absorb every bit of water before I even turn the hair dryer on and it has reduced my drying time to half the time (or less). We are both thrilled, as my pup is not happy about baths, towels and hair dryers. I didn't think I needed another pet towel, but I'm a believer now and highly recommend.PS:As other reviewers have mentioned, the hand pockets are a huge plus. Not sure why something so small makes such a big difference, but I'm not complaining!
This drying cloth is easy to use, really gets rain off dogs when they come in and easy to clean. A must if you have dogs, big or little.
This dries my puppy after a bath quickly. I couldn't believe it! I'm buying another one!
We had a friend who has poodles. She recommended it. My husband had me order one for our dogs.
One towel was able to dry off my German Shepherd perfectly well! The design makes it easy to get both hands in there and really dry a dog off properly.

OMG this is so worth it! I gave my golden retriever a bath yesterday and used it for the first time. Usually I use a few beach towels to dry him off and it takes forever. This super shammy was seriously awesome. It cut the amount of time I had to take to dry him off by like 80%. It soaked up a LOT more water than just the regular towels. Highly recommend, was a worthwhile buy.

The towel does a decent job of drying my German Shepherd Dog, but I still need a second towel to get her drier with her thick undercoat. Hanging the towel outside to dry takes longer than I hoped, and that's after wringing the water out of the towel. When camping I don't have access to a machine dryer.Hand pockets are plenty deep to get a good grip on the towel during drying and it fits around my dog's 68 lb body nicely.
This is THE BEST thing since sliced bread! I have 2 German Shepherds, one is a long hair. This towel dries them both faster amd more thoroughly than any bath towel out there! I keep one by the door for rainy days when they come in from a potty break and use one after giving them baths. These towels are amazing. With a bath towel I could never get the dogs completely dry. I can with these! I even bought one to put in the car incase it rains since my dogs go everywhere with me. They are thick, soft and highly absorbent. Easy to care for....just throw them in the washer. I love the pockets on each end for your hands. They give you great control of the towel while drying the dog. My dogs love them too. When I pick one of the towels up to start drying them, the dogs bury their face in it. I highly recommed this product!
We have two dogs. One who takes forever to dry after a bath and one who dries quickly. With the Soggy Doggy towel, they both dry quickly and don't drip all over the house after a bath. This towel works SO well. The design allows me to capture a dog directly out of the bath, rubbing him down and soaking up all the excess water on his fluffy body. After we wash both dogs, we just wash these towels separately or with other towels. Ignore reviewers who complained about the smell of wet towels; all wet towels don't smell the best. Just wash them after you dry off your dog. Or hang dry after drying off your pooch after a walk if you want to reuse it (say, it's raining all week). These are durable (we've already used these for multiple bath sessions), but we'd buy them again and will consider gifting them to new pet parents.
Prior to getting this product, I would always keep a couple of medium sized bath towels near my back entrance-way so that I could dry my two dogs after a walk in the rain. This product works so much better than a simple towel at soaking up moisture that I no longer keep the other towels there.It has been a couple of rains and snow storms since I started using it and it seems great at handling even fully soaked dogs, though mine are short and medium length fur (35 lb pitty and a 90 lb pitty lab mix, respectively), so your mileage might vary. If you have thicker furred or more dogs than me, you might want to get more of these towels to handle your pet drying needs.The towels aren't the largest, but the "hand pockets" make it much easier to use than a normal towel and the amount of water it soaks up is very impressive, even with them being smaller than the towels I used to use.I haven't had to wash the towel yet, so I can't vouch yet for how it handles going through the laundry, but it says that it is low setting washable and the construction seems more than durable enough to handle it, so I don't expect it to be much of an issue. Thankfully, my dogs aren't the types to roll around in the mud, so I haven't had a need to wash it yet.
5 Stars!! I am in love with this shammy! It soaks up water right off my dogs coats FAST! When I was using standard old towels it would take me FOREVER to get all the water off my dogs and leave me with three or four soaked dirty towels, sore arms and a halfway dry dogs. The soggy doggy dries and cleans my dogs in a SNAP completely. I am still adjusting to the hand pockets and I feel like they are a little large, my hands keep slipping out but it does help with rubbing them down. They are super soft and absorbent. When I clean my dogs I hang it up to dry and it takes no time to air out and leaves no sour dog smell behind. I haven't had the need to wash my shammies yet but I will do so on the gentle cycle. I have heard they start to fall apart when washed so take caution! Trust me, if you have dogs this is a GREAT investment! Love my Soggy Doggy Shammy! I can't wait to try the throws! Thank You SD!
I bought this because of a purchase I made at our local pet supply store...they had doormats made of this and a clerk recommended it to me. They WORK!!!!! I have a 125lb Rott and when it's raining and he went out I'd have to take a towel and wipe each foot going between pads even or I'd have mud all through my house. I bought the rug and have trained him to stand on it while I use the Soggy Doggy Super Shammy to dry off the rest of him and I no longer have a dog tracking mud into my house ANNNNND using the shammy I no longer have as much water shook out on me and anything else close by. It won't eliminate it totally, but it does a much better job than a towel and my Rott loves being wipe down with it!! I will for SURE be buying another when the time comes to replace either, and as a matter of fact I want to order one for the back door too!! My only complaint is that it doesn't come in more colors and without the dogbone, but that's a minor complaint and I still LOVE this!!!!!
